Living a Life Contrary to our Calling

If we carefully look at our lives, we may observe that we fail to succeed in living faithfully to our Christian calling.

Now, to be fair, most of us are genuinely interested in living out our call from Christ. Most of us are genuinely (at least, in the best way that we know of doing it) striving to live lives true to our Christian calling. We struggle & we come up short. We try to avoid sin, but we end up being sucked into the swamp of sin.

Brand Attributes
Every Brand has been designed/ developed and created with unique qualities that make them stand out. Example: In the case of a Mercedes Benz, the car is known for its finesse & engineering excellence. Now, if the brand no longer displays the original, unique qualities that it stands for, then it can no longer be considered faithful to its originally intended brand image. So, for example, if Mercedes Benz started using cheap parts instead of the finest auto parts, also began reducing the price so that it becomes more affordable, and made cars that are tacky & not comfortable, it would then lose its uniqueness and the purpose for which it was created. So if there is a lesson that we can learn from the above example, it is that if a brand no longer possesses its original uniqueness and qualities that it was originally designed with, then, it has lost its purpose. The brand would then be totally rejected. Similarly, a Christian is created unique in the image and likeness of God. This calls us to be like him, failing this; we are living a life contrary to our calling. What will losing our purpose lead to? Being frustrated, empty, frequent ups and downs and being limited to what I see before me.

St. Therese of Lisieux

St. Therese of Lisieux was born in 1873 in France to pious parents. She was one among nine siblings. Her life was not a bed of roses. She faced her mother's death at the tender age of four and a half. Her sixteen year old sister, Pauline, was forced to step in and take over the role of her mother. But after five years Pauline entered the Carmelite convent, leaving little Therese with yet another void to fill.

Visit to Ishaprema Niketan

This morning, our Singles went for a service visit to Ishaprema Niketan. We taught them an action song, played a few games with them and had music and dancing. We had also collected a good amount of money which we used, to buy a variety of provisions for them. After we left from there, we had a short review meeting. It appears that our service visit was on the whole, more beneficial for us than for the inmates.

Into the Deep – Bangalore

The video depicts, living out the call to be "Fishers of Men", through the daily lives and various ministries of the community in Bangalore. We have presented experiences of Couples, Singles, Youth & Kids along with the priests who have been our confessors at CFCI programs in Bangalore. We have interpersed these experiences with images/videos of actual programmes/events of the community along with other motion videos.
